HELLO.
Thanks for stopping by. My favorite compliment was when a Gen Xer told me that I was more like the people in her generation than like Millenials. But a close second is when someone tells me that I ask really good questions.
As a writer, I always want to find out why. Why do you need to store your leftovers in glass containers instead of plastic ones? Why are so many people afraid of raw milk? Why do some folks decide to become sperm donors, and others want to drink human blood?
Perhaps another good question is, why didn’t I become a psychologist? Who knows. Instead, I became a writer. For nearly a decade, I’ve concentrated mostly on health, wellness, and nutrition, but I’ve covered topics as varied as the lives of balloon artists, mystifying dog behavior, and why striving for the perfect wardrobe is a waste of time.
You might’ve seen my work in places like Parade, Glamour, Redbook, Prevention, Family Circle, Women’s Health, Refinery 29, Men’s Health, Shape, Greatist, and Fitness. Or maybe in KIWI magazine, where I spent four years as an award-winning staff writer, food editor, and co-author of Allergy-Friendly Food for Families (Andrews McMeel, 2012).
I’d love to work with you, too. If you’d like to talk about a story or project, please send me a note.
